The America’s
Stage 2 sees us back in the northern spring, to Vancouver. In Vancouver we pick up the Land Rover, which is hibernating, then after some R & M to it, head ‘North to Alaska’. From Alaska back to Canada where we plan to drive up the Dempster highway from Dawson to Tuktoyaktuk.
Tuktoyaktuk is the northern most point of Canada serviced by road, then heading east to Alberta and across Canada to Nova Scotia. The idea is to stay as far north as practicable, before dropping down into the US.
Our route through the US will evolve but the basic plan is to stay east as far south as Memphis before crossing to Colorado then up through Utah, visiting many of the national parks. Continuing north to amazing Montana then south again to Mexico via the inland Californian road and Arizona.
Depending on time and circumstances we will then head south into South America. More on that later….
Is there anyone out there who would like to join us?? 🙂
Stage 3. After returning to Loretto in Baja Mexico we head down into Central and the South America.
Well, we all know what happened to that! Covid struck and our plans for travelling to South America were scuppered. However, the journey continues.
